On days like this when breathing feels like a trial
When heavy footsteps slow to a halt for a long while
Just close your eyes and come with me
Into this sweet land of sanctuary
Thousands of worlds and magic line the tall, wooden shelves
Step into any of them and you may very well see an elf
Hey, do you hear the rain through the corner window?
Even amidst the dark clouds there's still an orange glow
Here, I'll play my favourite music box just for you
Will you let its melody embrace and heal you anew?
Ever so gently, ever so softly
They'll tell you that it's okay, it's alright to live
Isn't life still beautiful?
That's why your dreams are still so bountiful
Of dancing under the moonlight and among the stars
Of fairies who will sing you an accompanying repertoire
Despite the harsh winds that left your heart to shatter
Your childlike spirit echoes a soft whisper
"I'm still here, take me with you, don't forsake me!"
To the one trying to survive it makes a desperate plea
So rest in this sanctuary until you soothe your cries
Come lay your head down on my lap and close your eyes
When you awaken, and you can breathe again
May your footsteps be lighter then.
